We all have them — even me, the content creator. A blank page kind of day.
Maybe it’s the fact that it’s Blue Monday and the piercing blue skies outside looked a lot more enticing than my messy desk. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m still on a sugar high from my ‘no chocolate in the week’ weekend antics. Or maybe, it’s just one of those days.
The topic at hand was Brexit and the contractor industry. The procrastination at hand was tea making, email checking and journal writing. Does this make me a terrible writer? No. Does this make me an honest writer? Yes.
Writer’s block is one of those things that we all have to face. Luckily, it’s easy for me to put down a trying blog and come back an hour later when the inspiration is in full flow — which nearly always happens. And, even luckier for me is that it doesn’t happen all too often, so it’s a nice excuse to take a break.
The moral of the story? Don’t beat yourself up over writer’s block. It happens to the best of us.
